I have a 96 F250 Powerstroke with electric door locks but don't know if is has a Keyless entry module. Does anyone know if they just came from the factory with the module. I bought it new and I think I remember the dealer asking me if I wanted the remote for $100 dollars. My door lock is worn out on the drivers side and thought it might just be cheaper to by a remote off of EBAY.
I don't believe it would have come with the module. Dealer installable options are items the dealer can install easily if requested. If you can find a module and remotes it wouldn't be hard to install, but after market ones are not very dificult. I put keyless entry on both my 88 and 97 F-150's and they were almost identicle so my guess is that yours wouldnt be any different.
LMC truck has a kit for about $108. I just bought one. I've been looking for help on the wiring. The diagram that comes with it is too small to read, but it does have the lock actuators reciever and remotes. I think the problem is the kit is for a truck with out Powerlocks installed. I'm looking for a good way to tie into the exsisting system. If you have any luck, I'd like to hear about it.
I just bought a really nice '96 F250 XLT Ext.Cab. It didn't come with a key fob. I'm wondering if it has remote entry but I don't know how to tell if it does? Is there a module somewhere?
What did you guys have to do to put factory keyless entry in. I really would like to add it, and I can get a key fob really cheap. Does it have the wiring. I have a 95 250 xlt.
