GEM/VSM programming
The techs seem to not like putting "as built" information in to the modules. What is the other choice? Is there another programming done by a dealer or the customer that is not the same basic data as the as built up load? I ask, because Ford tried to load as built into one of my modules a while back. I still had an issue, so I've done a lot more research and it turns out my VSM does not have the right programming in it. My bill says they put as built in to it, but I don't know it that just for the VSM or GEM.

After an oil change several years ago, the dome lights stayed on, the door ajar light stayed on and the power door locks didn't work.
After reseach, I replaced the VSM. Ordered a brand new one from Ford, took out my old one and made the swap with the parts driver.
I got the power door locks working again, but the dome light issue remained. So I replaced the cluster.
After some more research, I went to ford. I have the receipt here from 10/06,
ignore the alt not charging, I was sent the wrong alt and the voltage regulator wasn't pinned for my application. Looking at this, I think they just reprogrammed my cluster/GEM (if I over look their poor spelling.)
The problem is, the dome light and door ajar lamp is still always lit. The rear doors don't activate the dome light. I have checked each switch and installed my alarm so it triggers off each door rather than the dome light.
I was really hoping to find an easy fix. Reviewing my bill, it looks like they didn't program my VSM at all, which is the diagnosis I've read for my problems.

C/S had new keyless Mod. installed. Needs to have comp reprogramed
