Can ForScan program my 2002 F350 super crew VSM I put in with as-built data?
Im just tired of seeing my "door open" light as I drive and people telling me "your lights are on."
Right now the doors think they're open when they're closed and closed when they're opened and doesn't even register the back doors. I never had it programmed when I bought it because I didn't want to spend the money on it if that was the only issue. I bought it to fix the old faulty VSM that was common for the 2002-2003 years.
I have ForScan and a 2004 F-250 SCSB 5.4. I can't even read the GEM. I got the extended license and either I don't have the right OBD II adapter or I am missing something else along the way. I'm thinking my truck isn't "smart" enough for this amount of computer digging and rigging. These are PWM protocol trucks, not CANBus like the new ones. Just my $0.02 worth. Adapters are cheap enough and the software is free, so it might be worth a shot.
It works great with Torque Pro on my Samsung Galaxy 7" tablet.
I can only see 2 modules when I connect.
ABS and PCM.
Only 1 line of data values for each one.
When I tried to make a change I got an error about unable to write.
I will try and connect to it using IDS and see what I can see with that.
