The 6.0L IC is taller, and all the extra length is on the bottom beneath the IC Tube nozzles. In other words, the 6.0L IC tubes are offset vertically with the tubes being closer to the top than the bottom, and it is really noticeable when you look at the two different models side by side. The 7.3L IC on the other hand has the tube nozzles almost dead center (vertically speaking).
I have a pic at home of my 7.3 and 6.0 IC sitting side by side, and will post tonight when I get there.
Wow... you're old 7.3 was kinda dirty, wasn't it? Actually, my pic is taken at an angle with the 7.3 IC sitting in front of the 6.0 IC.
When I was removing my boots the other night (this past Saturday), I had already taken off my nitrile gloves because everything just looked kind of dusty, but when I grabbed those tubes, they were CAKED with black oily goo that STILL has my hands stained.

I'm going to keep this in mind for future reference.
The IC you're looking at IS a 6.0L model. I could not see your original pics showing up until now, and when I compared them to the ones of my two units, and then compared the part numbers... it is definitely a 6.0L unit. Pics below, including a screen shot from the Part Number table on the Roadside Help Network site.
