Sounds like a mess that needs to be converted to 12 volt. I'd start a new thread and let this one fall back to the bottom.

Yes, the original 6 volt system was positive ground. Before you listen to anyone, you need to decide, for yourself, what your plans are. Custom, stock, etc., etc. If it's stock, then only a few of us will be able to help you, as there is very little love of stock trucks in this forum. If it's a custom job, well, then this is the right place, as the info for other than stock is abound on FTE.

Yes, and beside being positive ground and the original 6V system had a 6V battery - so this is no longer an "original" system - it's been modified, so you don't know if it is still positive ground or not wmjoe! Or for that matter anything that may have been done to it.

Another bag of dung from one who knows little and speaks a lot.

Perhaps he is interested in the experiences and knowledge of other people who have done this - in order to gain some insight and make some decisions.

And there are plenty of people who are qualified to help him with his electrical problem on this site - stock or not - and you are not one of them wmjoe.

The fundamentals of electicity and automotive wiring were invented long before 1947 and used long after 1947. Those principles and fundamentals have nothing to do with stock or not stock. And his situation is really not applicable to your current self centered, whiny, rant about "stock" being "lost," or "I'm the only one who knows about the 'stock electricity' because it was different in every vehicle."

How rediculous!

Julie, we love you but you always take it to another level. Not a good one either.
