MAP Manifold Abolute Pressure. Manifold pressure measured on the absolute pressure scale, an indication of engine load. At sea level, with the engine off, MAP=100kPa (14.5 psi).
no cel, last i check for codes was before the drop in fuel mileage, and had a p1111 all clear. it might just be the winter fuel, but i don't know becuase last winter i got 14.5 usually, now only 13 sometimes 12.5. between last winter and this one i put a straight pipe on, K&N air filter (a week before i heard of the napa 6637), and an edge evolution chip. but these all increased my fuel mileage in the summer. before all of that it was 15.5mpg in the summer and after it was 18.5-19mpg. idk maybe its nothing.
hmmm, well i wish i knew why my mpgs went south. the only other difference is tires and when i put then on in the summer after the other thing my mpgs only dropped by .2mpg.
There have been reports of mileage differences from station to station, even from the same station that received a new load in their tanks. Mileage usually goes down in the winter months.....winterized fuel additives, more/longer idling, longer times to get the engine up to temp all use more fuel.
