key pad entry

is it possible to get the factory code for the key pad entry on the drivers door of 2004 X without going to ford dealership?I've never had it I bought it used.thanks

I have read on may different forums here and elsewhere that there is a place behind the dash that has a sticker on it and that sticker has the code on it. It is a large type 5 digit code. Try to google it, that is actually how I managed to come across this forum site in the first place. It is here somewhere though..Also there is some Huuuuuuuge combination of numbers that is supposed to act like a hack to get into the vehicle. They say it takes about 20 minutes to get through the whole thing and you will be able to recover your code from that!! Here is the link to the hack page!!!

I thought it was posted somewhere in the engine bay, but not sure. I need it also, bought mine used, the previous owner was good enough to leave that little yellow card in a cupholder with the original code on it, then we lost it before I re-programmed...DOH!!
So, I'm 'subscribing' to see if we get a solid answer..

no its not on the Exs, you should look in the owners manual and see if there is a little card in there that has it printed, if not look in the manual and see if they pened it in..

thanks all its behind the radio.you can see it looking though the fuse panel door if you go deep enough.

Keyless entry code?

Mine was located behind the strereo inside the dash. there are post's on this topic(search will aid you in finding the correct threads? plus if i remember correctly there are pics of it, or there was anywayz) I have a 2003 Ex. XLT wiht v-8. i removed my radio and shined a flash light up in there and got the factory code for the keyless entry. Yours may be different, ive hear dof it beeing in other spots. Happy hunting
