I'd do a search on it but the search function doesn't seem to be working right now. Anyone here used the pacesetter longtube headers part# 70-2221? Website says they're for use with egr. If these are the real deal then I think I've found the replacements for my cracked manifold.
My bronco runs the Pace setters shorties that replace the manifold and the egr port is on the front passenger side of the header. They work well but I thought the long tube headers were intended for a custom exhaust.
I've already replaced the second cat with a magnafow 3" and installed a Flowmaster 70 series 3" catback. The only stock pieces left are the rusty y-pipe and the manifolds. However, we took a vacation through the mountains last weekend and the truck got a good workout and came back ticking. I think its the infamous cracked manifold syndrom so I'm thinking of finishing the exhaust with longtubes and a custom y-pipe. But I'll only use longtubes if I can keep the egr setup.
I just looked on their site at these, since I'd gone with another brand. I saw where they have the O2 fittings, but I saw nothing about the EGR. It also said Off-Road Use Only. I'm gonna guess there is no EGR fitting.
If you go to the pacesetter performance website and click on products and then on Quik Trip longtube headers, the very last entry is for Ford Trucks, 87-96 f150/250 2/4wd 5.8 w/egr , part# 70-2221
I don't know if these are a new offering or what, but there may fially be a longtube option for those of us who want to keep the egr setup.
I did miss that, my apologies. I wish I'd seen these when I was shopping for them. I probably would've gotten these instead of the Flowtechs that I got. Right now I'm not using my EGR anyway, it's just there for looks. LOL
i used pacesetter shorties on my truck and the flange was warped and would not seal, called pacesetter and they would not replace or even admit they were wrong have not used anything made by pacesetter since, i like hooker they are usually a tighter fit and flowtech is a good cheap easy fitting brand
