i just recently had troubles, felt like missfiring and brought it into a ford dealership to get the codes pulled and they said it was the #2 plug and replaced it. i got it back and it didnt feel like missfired anymore but it still shakes like it did before and the service enginel light came back on again and i am going to replace all the spark plugs and coils but i want to buy aftermarket ones and dont know which ones will work with my truck. i have a 2000 f-150 XLT 4.6L V8. i got this number off one of the coils F7TU-12A366-CD. i was wondering which coild are compatible and what their manufactureing number is. i already have the plugs. thanks
i got mine on ebay a whole set for like 80 bucks have ran them for 3 months no problems, they said on the ebay add that they would fit my truck so thats how i found out what would fit good luck
I'm running the Ebay coils. They were around $100 and they work great. It's been at least 6 month since I put them in. They are almost exactly indentical to the stock coils and I'd venture to say that they are just white box versions of OEM coils. A lot of guys on another F150 only forum use them as well.
As for plugs, just make sure you use Motorcraft and I think double plat.
