I'm having trouble finding headers at a reasonable price (less than 500 bucks) for my truck. Its a 1974 F100 4X4 with a manual tranny (NP435), and a 360. The only ones I have found for this combo are EXPENSIVE. $450-$700. Thanks for your help guys.
ok so apparently i'm retarded cause i saw those before and thought they wouldn't fit a standard tranny, but i see they do. thanks boss.
Double check Heddmen headers..... I have bought a few sets for Ford over the years and have never paid more than $169 for them..and the one's one 70 are 35 years old..
I picked up the black jack headers from summit also. If I remember correctly, you need to unbolt the passenger side motor mount to slide the header in.
u can unbolt it, or just cut it on the flange where they have already cut it half way, and it pulls apart at the collector. I had to pull my starter off but that's no big deal, there a pretty tight fit but so far so good.
you could go to the oreillys on tuttle creek boulevard and order a set of flowtech part #1254, they are $179 come with bolts and gaskets and they normally stock these in KC so could have them either sat or mon.
then pick any of the muffler shops to have the rest of the piping done. daves muffler in junction city is pretty good so is 5 star muffler in Manhattan.
When I check the application on summit, they're only listed for 2wd trucks. Is anybody having trouble with them clearing the front driveshaft on the driver's side?? I was just getting ready to pony up $500 or so for a set of Stan's headers.
Nevermind. I just looked again- right under my nose.
