FE Fuel System

I am having issues getting fuel to my carburator. I have a new Holley Performer fuel pump and a rebuilt 360FE. It seems as though I'm getting gas to the pump but not the the carb. Does the fuel tank have to be pressurized? Does the fuel cap have to be on? Any thoughts why this is happening?

Never ever have a pressurized fuel tank. It's like having a bomb. However the tank need to be vent so air can get in as the fuel is used. Either loosen the gas cap or remove it and see if your problem goes away. If it does, get a vented gas cap. If it doesn't I would suspect you fuel pump issues.

Right now I have the stock fuel tank, the one behind the seat! Is it a pressurized one? I have a 69 short wide f100. I havent had the cap on or the fuel neck on...

There is no such thing as a pressurized fuel tank. So, no it is not pressurized, not suppose to be and never should be. Especially in the cab of the truck. Where did the idea of a pressurized tank come from? I suspect your fuel pump in bad or you tank is very dirty or rusty and have plugged the fuel pickup in the tank.
