hey there folks,
I'm not crazy but i do have an odd question. I have a '78 f-150 short box 4x4 and i was wondering if i can take it and turn it into a 4x2. i hate to do it but i cant find a 2wd short box for sale within 1000 miles of me.
Welcome zach78, but I HAVE to ask, why turn it into a 2wd?!!?! You are going through a lot of work for what, you could probly find someone that would want to swap a 2wd for a 4wd,,,
well, this is a question that has probably never been asked on this site.
it's a lot easier to trade someone your 4wd for a 2wd. if not you have more than enough truck. you never want to need a 4wd when you don't have it.
or maybe it would be easier to take the bed off of the 4wd and put it on the 2wd. people have shorted frames before and there should be plenty of information about this on this site.
like stated it's a lot less work just getting a different truck.
from the 2wd truck you'll at least need the suspension. I'm not an expert so I can't help to much with that kind of stuff.
Where are you located? Im looking for a shortbed 4wd chassis. I would be willing to shorten the 2wd chassis you have and take the 4wd chassis in payment.
