05S28 - Speed control system mod
I checked my mail and ford has notified me that:
"05S28 - Speed control system modification"
I read some things about it, something about cruise control or master cylinder lines i'm not sure.
Can someone please explain to me what a speed control system mod is and why they recalled it, my research on the net has lead me to dead ends.

There is a brake pressure switch on the master cylinder that is used by the speed control. Sometimes the switch seeps brake fluid. This shorts the switch, which is always powered, even key off. The combination of brake fluid and heat from the short circuit has caused several fires.
The fix is to install a fuse in the circuit. It took less than 15 minutes to have mine done without making an appointment.
