Seat swap help needed!

I have a 2006 F-350 XL SuperCab with the bench seat. I find I need the center console storage space inside. I know of a set of Pwr bucket seats and console out of a 2007 F-250 CrewCab. My question is will the seats fit in my SC and how do I hook up the power seats? What do I need to do to make this work? Will it be an easy swap? If this is going to be a headache, I'd rather wait for the right seat to come along. Thanks in advance.

The seats should bolt up, because of the body style having the same or similar floor pan. The electrics may not be so easy. I think my power seats just have two wires in a harness, but I can't clearly recall. If so, then you just need switched power and ground. If there is a harness I am not remembering or the newer style has remember positions, there is bound to be more wiring needed.

Make sure that the seats are properly configured for seat belts. Some seat belts are mounted in the pillar and some are in the bucket seat.

I did a seat swap in a 2001 dodge Reg cab 2 years ago, what a nightmare finding the proper seat. Seems like everyone now owns a SC or CC. Took a few months to locate the right seat.

The crew cab won't interchange with the super cab because of the seatbelts. The belts are in the seats in the SC, and on the pillar in the Crew. The wiring for the seats will be easy, 90% they don't have memory available in a superduty. I think, and it's a vauge one, the seats will actually bolt up, if you can work around the seat belt. Not something I would want to chance though.

Are the ones out of the Crew leather? I'm interested if you don't use them...

No the seat is cloth. My seat belt in my SC is not part of the seat, just the buckle part. The retractor is bolted to the floor and the roof. I'm more concerned about the bolting up and hooking up the electrical.

You should have no problem with the seats from a crew cab truck... one down, one to go.

I wish that I could help you there Bro... When it come to electrical, I'm a fish out of water. I have a feeling that all the trucks have the ability to use power seats as part of the basic wiring harness. You may need to go to a salvage yard and get the specific wiring segment for the power seats and just "plug it in".

Hopefully others will chime in and clarify...

Do you have one seat that goes the whole width of the truck, or a split bench seat that has two seats and a fold down seat in the center?

As far as the power seats goes look underneath your current seats for wiring plugs. IF you find plugs see how many wires are in them.

Hi Beer, The seat I'm pulling out is the bench style that goes all the way across. The seats I'm putting in are the 40/20/40 style. I looked under the new seat and noticed a plug that resembles the one I have in my truck. I'll plug it in and see what happens.
