Is the rear pinion in the same place on both? I though the Ranger was off set to one side to clear the gas tank. Maybe I'm thinking about the BII vs the Ranger rear axle.
Pretty sure the BII is centered. The Ranger is offset to clear the side tank and the Explorer may be also as it has a side mounted tank. Just not sure if they were offset the same. I can go out and measure my 94 Explorer tomorrow.
thanks guys, that answers it and then some. im buying the axle for the rear of my jeep(i know, i know, but the price was right...) and id heard the explorer axle was better, i just couldnt find why. cheers.
