Ranger Wheels vs Explorer Wheels

Ranger Wheels vs Explorer Wheels
Does anybody know for sure if similar year("99-'01) Explorer (OEM) wheels will fit the Ranger (2wd)? Is the offset the same? Will 205 tires fit the Explorer wheel?

The Explorer wheels from the years you mentioned should work fine on a Ranger.
As long as the rim size is the same (i.e. 15 or 16inch), the tires will probably fit. I think most Explorer wheels are 7 inches wide, and I think a 205 tire might be a little skinny, but it will fit (I would recommend a wider tire, however).

Until they went to irs on the Explorers, the wheels were interchangeable. The new Expl w/ irs has more offset (~20) v. the Rangers 12mm. 205 is narrow for a 7" wheel - I'd also recommend a little wider like 225.

I just put some alloy wheels from a 1991 Explorer on my 1999 2WD Ranger.
They worked great!
