its a 07. around 16,000 miles. Did the oil change, going to be doing the fuel filter change real soon.
Truck starts fine without being plugged in in the cold. After few minutes, idle stays steady. Truck runs fine.
I dont know if this is a trans issue or something else. I will floor it(wot) and the truck will climb to 2500 or 3500 rpms (depends) and hold 20psi but the truck will not accelerate. This is about 40mph. Once I give it less gas, it will shift to the next gear and accelerate. It accelerate fine from a stop.
The secondary fuel filter has no gelling. I still have to check the primary filter on its condition.
And I still need an oasis done, if someone can do it for me. I can see if I can PM you my vin.
thanks
EDIT.
Just read the shift point thread. I guess this might be normal.
The gauge in the middle doesn't really mean its warmed up, it isn't a real gauge, more of a glorified dummy light. It goes to the middle for anywhere in between something like 50F and 250F
Tried it again today. When the truck reaches 3rd gear on automatic. The truck falls on its face. So I'm going to check out the primary filter. Maybe it's gelled up. Secondary was fine when I checked it the other day.
I pulled out the primary filter. It looked dirty and it had a slight glaze on the microscreen on the filter. I flushed the filter out with 911 and alcohol from the inside.
The weather is warm right now. But the truck has power to accelerate. And the fuel pump/heater no longer loud as it was before. I can hear the engine and nothing more.
I will be changing the fuel filter this week. I'm suprised how dirty diesel is while it's suppose to be clean. I get my fuel from diesel pumps with heavy usage. The secondary filter was dark in color too. Just a warning to others to change your filters no matter where you buy your fuel.
