Free springs?

I managed to break my driver side leaf spring on my 91 F150. I have been driving around on 3 and a half springs for the last few months waiting to buy a lift to fix the problem. Well what I am asking is that I can get a pair of old F150 leaf springs with 4 or 5 leaves for free from my brothers friend, he has a set of each. I plan on doing a sky mfg shackle flip to match a 4'' lift front lift. I believe the springs are off of a 70's F150 and are 3'' wide. So I think they should fit. Do they? Would you run the 4 leaf springs or the 5? The truck would wrap pretty bad before I broke the spring, would the 5 leaf springs help alleviate that with out sacrificing ride quality or articulation? If the 70s era springs wont work could I use 80-96 Bronco? Those are much more plentiful at the local pick n pull. I am sure I will more questions as this project progresses.

the bronco ones should work...keep in mind that the bolts like to rust into the bushing of the leafs and are sometimes impossible to get out....used springs can sometimes be a pita to get out at a junkyard
