How much difference is the sound in the cab with stacks. I don't mind the sound but I also like to be able to hear my wife and kids talking to me when we are driving.
Deven, I have something to say about this. I would like to know the same thing. . I can't, but want to have stacks on my truck. I have a fuel tank that sits on the bed, so no way to put stacks on mine. Good luck on this. I will watch this.
I would also like to maybe run it through my tool box and just put that exhaust heat wrap stuff on them in case they get too hot not sure if that is possible or not.
It is definitely louder in the cab.....but not obtrusively so IMO. I've not ridden the back seat with the stacks, or ever for that matter, but with the windows up you can still hear the stereo at lower levels.
Im thinking of taking my single stack off, it's loud as shyt. it's right behind the rear window, and with the headers, no muffler etc, it's anything but pleasant. It wasnt bad when my motor was closer to stock, a muffler would help too.
Loud, not really any worse than a straight pipe. I did have some drone though, and put a muffler on it (thanks to Kris) that helped with the drone, but didn't completely eliminate it. With the single shots though, the engine noise was louder than the exhaust noise.
Kris, I didn't want to hear that it's louder with a single stack...

Ahhh, it's already in the works, sitting in my garage, but at a total cost of $0 to me. My buddy Jeff wants to put stacks on his truck, so I told him to price out a single 6" stack, 90* elbow, and a 4"-6" adapter, which is all I would need, and if it was less expensive than a T-pipe setup for him, to buy that and I'll just give him my T-pipe.
Well, he got the hookup from another buddy of ours on some stuff that came off a semi, and we're both going to get what we want out of it. It's going to take a little work, as he picked up a 10 foot long chrome stack that we're going to cut into three separate stacks, one for my truck and two for his. I'm taking the stack to the local metal shop to have it cut though, where they can take a fine toothed bandsaw to it and make a nice, clean, perfect 45* cut for the mitre.

Well, I'm gonna find out how a CR sounds! The duals now don't sound all that loud. Actually quieter than the 7.3 was.
Is there a website where I can get pieces for stacks like i said before i can use some of what i already have but i need the 90 and the y pipe and the actual stacks can't really find anywhere cheap.
