OEM Factory 6DISC
Ok I have searched and searched with no luck. I have burned Mp3 to a disc but when I put them the radio it says data disc and it will play the tracks but nothing comes out for audio HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

420 crew what your seeing is correct. If the truck your refering to is an 05, then it doesn't support mp3. If it supports mps format, it will say so above the disc opening in white letters. For some stupid reason Ford put mp3 capatable head units in all vehicles except super duty.

The owners manual contains a lot of general info. The reason I know this about the radio is I had a 05 f350 before this new one, and my $50,000 F 350 didn't have mp3 availability, where as my $15,000 Focus did have mp3 support. I usually read my owners manual to try and find things I might not be aware of. You wouldn't believe the amount of errors I have noticed over the years. If you look in your owners manual, it also will tell you, you are able to zero out the engine hours in the cluster. No can do. I wish I had a better answer. Sorry!

I have a factory radio that has mp3 capability that I would be willing to sell. Let me know if you are interested. I also have a factory navigation system with a 6 disc changer that I am looking to sell. If you or anyone else is interested, please let me know.

when you burn a disc you cpu can format it differently. right now it is burning it as a data disc. not a format for music. I f''ed up once and did that to but since reburned it and plays fine now. its not the truck it's your computer burning it worn. My buddy makes programs and builds computers for a living and this is how i found out. As long as it is formatted properly it will play anything.
