Hmmm... thanks for the offer, but no way am I putting an '08 front end on my truck. Just doesn't suit me. I'll keep looking. Heck, with all the trucks running around CO, I may have to play lawyer and start chasing them like it was an ambulance!! :-eek
You could paint your chrome bumper without a problem, you just gotta sand the chrome good. I might have a grey one laying around too, Ill look around today, if you wanted to drive up to wyoming.

That depends on what part of Wyoming!! Cheyenne is no biggie, but I used to work in Cheyenne and know long it can take to get places... but I'm DEFINITELY interested!! My plan is to get a grey bumper cheap, get it painted, then sell of my chrome bumpers to cover the expense.

Im in Rock Springs, I go to Laramie/Cheyenne once in a while. Ill let ya know if I got one. I know I have a chrome one that I have all sanded that I was gonna paint, but then I made one instead. The corners on it are trimmed just a little cuz my tires were rubbing it.

How much sanding are we talking? I was thinking that chrome could be painted but it has to be prepped right. You think that you could snap a picture of the chrome bumper you have sanded so we can get a look at how much sanding is involved?
Sand/scuff, clean, use a self-etching epoxy primer/sealer is the key prior to paint. At least that's how we've done mine.
Have a few painted parts on my trucks that used to be chrome.
I just checked and Rock Springs is 349 miles from my front door.... and it's winter too! I've driven from Evanston back to Cheyenne during a storm and it wasn't fun.
One the bumper that you have sanded already, how much trimming was done? Did you close the edge or just sand it down? I'm curious as to how it looks, and if you're not going to use it... I'll PM you my phone number, so maybe something will work out.
I powder coated my bumper black right over the chrome. looks really good and much tougher than paint. I just sandblasted a bit to clean off the dead bugs and thats the only prep
My ex has a Dodge 2500 that's all white except for a bit of chrome inside the grill. FANTASTIC looking truck. Yours would look even better!!
My question is she an ex because of things like truck bumpers in the living room?
The bumper looks good, I have been thinking of the paint route as the rear had a dent that got pushed out with the press an a small stiker placed over the bad chrome. Ain't doing anything during the winter with paint though.
