Black bumper

I'm in the process of "blacking out" Nyx. I need to re-do my King Ranch running boards, but my latest is here:

I scored a grey rear bumper off CL for $60 and had a friend prep & paint it for me. Now I need to find a front one, and SOON!! If anyone in Colorado knows of someone with a work truck that would like to "step up" to a chrome bumper please PM me that info!

Looks good.

You can get aftermarket fronts like the XL fairly cheap on ebay....under $200 shipped if you don't find anyone willing to trade.

Thanks guys!

There are a number of PSDs in my neighborhood, and I think 1 or 2 of them are work trucks. Hopefully they'll go for a straight swap so all I have to pay is the paint costs. I'll have to call the breakers again today and see what they have.

I'm working on that. A few weeks ago I got a black OEM grill with inserts, but I like the style of my old setup better, so I'll probably pull that one back off, sell it, and get the original setup painted. The front then will be all black except for the center, which will be black flat bars with the front edge left as bare aluminum.

That's going to look good. I'm not a big fan of chrome, I like the painted look better. I've been toying with the idea of getting painted bumpers for mine.

My ex has a Dodge 2500 that's all white except for a bit of chrome inside the grill. FANTASTIC looking truck. Yours would look even better!!

Will an '08 bumper match up to my 99 front? I don't want the '08 front end, no offense, but if the bumper is a straight bolt on.... What did you let it go for?

08 front...NO

08 rear bumper would bolt to a 99-07 truck though.

Yeah, I didn't think so. I've seen threads with the '08 rear installed on my gen truck, but didn't expect the front to fit. Time to call the breakers..

08 fits if you do the entire 08 front end conversion...fenders, hood, lights, grille, etc..

I have heard the same thing DC said. I think he could use the bumper down there. Let me know and I can run it down this afternoon

I think when I put it on the classifieds I asked $125, but I would take $500. If you had a straight chrome bumper we could have good thing going. I think shipping might get pretty high going to Colorado.

Edit - BTW the 08 gate fits AWESOME! I wish I would have done it sooner. My wife can open the new gate with one hand...I just should have gotten the "man step"

Problem is that the 08 front bumper is straight across the top....the 99-04 and 05-07 are different, the grille hangs down lower than the heads so the bumper is lower in the center than it is at the edges.
