i am going to need this info as i am going to enter my truck in the pulls at our county fair this year
hopefully anyway, i might do it stock and then do upgrades after to see how much a stock motor will do

yea i think i am going to go with a cam and a cold air intake. I dont want to put to much into the motor because i have a 429 that im workin on right now that going to go in it later down the road to keep up with the big boys.

Save you money on the "cold" air intake which is nothing but an open air filter under the hood. Instead get a drop-in filter panel that doesn't use oil(because it will foul the MAF meter), and install the airbox snorkle from an I6 or 460 truck, it goes from the airbox to the big hole beside the rad instead of over top of the rad support. This snorkle flows much better than the stock small V8 version.
