I'm trying to put in a true dual exhaust system in my '83 Bronco (351 W) and don't know which mufflers i should use. I'm planning on running headers and 2 1/2" pipes. I thought i would use Flowmaster 40 series, but i don't want my truck to be extremely loud and annoy everybody. Then i thought about FM 50 series, but what if i got the delta flow deal on the 40 series? Or i saw some really cheap turbo muffs from summit that supposedely aren't extremely loud but have good deep tone (what i'm looking for) Anyway if someone could reccomend a good muffler with good deep tone and not extremely loud i would appreciate it. Thanks

 

Turbo mufflers are a good pick if you want a mellow sound and want to save a few bucks too. If you must have flowmasters, you could go with the 50 or 70 series muffler. They won't be quite as loud with driving, but they will still have that low rumble at idle. If you just want to make as much noise as possible, run glass packs, cherry bombs, 40 series flowmasters, or no mufflers at all.
