Frame swaps

Does anyone know if a 1979 Ford Bronco has the same wheel base as a 78 Ford pick up with a short bed

Has any one ever put a pick up cab on a bronco frame. I am thinking of doing so. I just purchased a 79 bronco and am thinking of putting my cab on the frame and building a flat bed for it. I am also thinking of just cutting the original bed down to match the wheel base. Any thought on this project.

Oh yeah! Bob the bed, could be one hell of a rock crawler platform with some 60's on 4 links, fuel injection, 40"s and a full cage. haha $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!

there was an 80s truck that someone did the same thing with a stepside bed. quite neat. pushed the bed up to the cab though. looked factory, but just something you couldnt quite figure wasnt right.

I am in the midst of that right now
78 bronco frame
d60 front pushed forward
d70u rear moved back a couple of inches
np435/NWF blackbox/np205 twinsticked
single triangulated 4 link at both ends
wheelbase is up around 114"

just bought a 77 f250 ranger xlt for the cab
