C4 Swap-out question.

Hey Everybody

New User. I have been looking for a tranny for a few weeks now and found one. I currently have a 302/C4 in the truck. A guy has another C4 for reasonable money but it was originally behind a 2.3 liter 4 banger. My questions are: Would my bell housing bolt up to the input side of his tranny? And would the input shaft on his transmission require a different Torque converter and/or Flex Plate?

I wouldnt do it.As far as i know a 4 banger tranny and a v8 tranny have different shift points.And some v8 trannys (like from a mustang) even have more clutches in them.

Thanks Tim,

After I posted that I went out to the garage and got to thinking about that being that whatever rear end was behind that trans. probably wasn't the same as mine. If anyone knows a good u-pull it salvage yard near me,(53565), I would be happy to check it out. I would like to find another auto but have not ruled out swapping over to manual if I find a good doner truck.
