I cann't see CFM making this product and not having any flow ratings or anything on it. How else would they prove thats its better then stock and worth the money. $400 doesn't seem worth it to me but when you have a bunch of work ( bigger turbo, IC, injectors) it might be an inprovement and lower your egt's alittle. I think its just to new and they didn't really test it yet.

Your statement is exactly what has me thinking they won't sell many of these...owners simply won't think it's worth it. The big issue is that it only works with a stock or drop-in replacement turbo. You're right that when you start upgrading some of the other serious parts, $400 for a higher flowing intake becomes worth it, but at that point you've got to have a custom intake anyway to attach to the turbo.
I can only think of three or four turbos that the CFM will only work for - stock, van, Garrett BB (not in production now), Turbonetics (also out of production) and their "Ball Buster' variants. That alone limits who can use it, and at $400 I think they may have priced themselves right out of their target market's range of justifiable benefit.
There is over a 1/2" of Al between the hot side and the cold side, there is not much if any heat exchange going on there. I cut stockers down to use the Y for my H2e kits...
I don't like the flex rubber piece that runs from the intake filter/housing.
Aluminum absorbs and dissipates heat rapidly. Maybe the new stuff doesn't absorb heat as much. It definitely dresses up under the hood.
I painted mine with engine enamel and it looks damn near the same. I can't justify it, and then talking about it only fitting those 4 or so turbos, def. not worth it. I would be interested to see a data sheet though
Im willing to use some of my old contacts to see if I can get a good price on it. It would definitely be easier if the company would just throw us one for free for us to test it out. Ill see what strings I can pull and hopefully someone, like Jeremy described, will be willing to do a real UNBIASED test.
