state inspection..
hello again, well took the truck in for state inspection and turns out it needs upper and lower balljoints,driver side also tie rod end.driver side. this will be the second set of joints put in since i bought the truck.has any body else ran into this problem with there super dutys.no plow or oversized tires either. whats a good ball joint to put in that wont wear out so quick? thanks FFF....

I second that. This is my first diesel and the only thing that NY does is a safety inspection. No OBD scan, no emissions, no nothing. I was told that if I wanted "easy" inspections then keep buying diesels. There is some merit to the inspections though when they take cars off the road that could fall apart at any moment. My father-in-law's 1977 Buick Le Sabre was one of those cars thank goodness.
