Wix 24490 Power Solution Filter Housing
Does anyone know how the Wix Power Solution Air Filter housing compares to the factory Donaldson filter? They claim it provides better filtration than the factory filter.

If you mean the powertrap system, it's made by visteon, an oem supplier to ford. It's similar in design to the E series van system and they work very well. the donaldson filters are a top notch filter and unless you're having a problem with the end caps like my 05 KR had, I would not change.

Yes, it's the powertrap system. I just happen to have one, that's why I asked. What problem with the "end caps" are you refering to?

sometimes they warp and let air in on the turbo side of the filter, some of the 05's had this problem. Mine did and I installed the powertrap in my 05 kr and my wife's 04 exc. the filters last about 25 to 30K and take about 45 seconds to change.
