That van looks to be a 9-passenger, raised-roof E-350 with a V10. It is a highly desirable vehicle to me. Something about 6 captains chairs, an electric bed & a big TV screams "Road Trip"!
It always appeared to me Ford was the company to pick on. It seemsed GM could do whatever they wanted as far as vehicle size and nothing was said about it. Look at the Suburbans, they came with an optional 454 and 496 (8.1l). Also look at the Hummer H2 which has somewhat smaller V8 but the mpg sucks big time. Ford got nailed by the media for the Ex so GM should have got nailed for their vehicles also.
The Vans are nice. An E-350 with 4X4 and the 3V V10 TS or 6spd would be nice to have.
The Excursion in the picture above the caption "2002 Excursion" actually is not a 2002 Excursion. It is an older model (maybe 2000 or 2001?). They didn't get much correct, did they?
The gripe I have with an E series van is the non-existent leg room in the front, let alone the knee pain from the door arm rest location (in the starcraft conversion).
