Coolant Leak !!
Hey guys.. today I noticed coolant leaking out of the truck.. After inspecting it tonight and refilling the reservoir. I found it to be coming from in between the water pump and the piece where the hose attaches to.. I tried tightening the bolt that holds it together.. but it didn't stop it. So I loosened it slightly and it really poured out !
My question is....... Is there a gasket there that I have to replace ???? Its not coming from the pump itself and its not coming from the hose !

I thought the T stat was on the top hose ????? This one is on the bottom hose at the block end... not the radiator end !!!

yeah t stat is up top sorry i thought you were talking about the upper hose. yes there is an o ring on that bottom flange if you have the one that has the flange that bolts up to the pump with 2 bolts. a new o ring and some sealant should do the trick....

Can anyone tell me what size this o-ring is ????????? and is it just an o-ring and not a gasket... It appears to look like a gasket from the outside !

It's an O-ring. It's flat type not the round one. I just put a water pump on mine a few months ago. NAPA should have it. I can't tell you what size it is though.

I tried getting one from napa recently for the same problem. I would think that a regular round o ring of the right size should fit, but it is a special 3 sided flat type o-ring. Easiest would be to get it from the dealer. Water pumps come with this oring, but no one seemed to be able to look it up seperately. We pulled it out of a water pump kit, and even then couldn' t really match it up. I would just go to the dealer, was cheap.
