I bought them from a place called Race Concepts. They advertise on eBay...
These are stock Volare replacement rotors so they bolt right on. If you go this route then you will also need bearings and grease seals. I went ahead and replaced the axle nuts, grease caps, and retainers while I was at it.

So they're 11" rotors?

I got the dropped spindles installed, everthing bolted back up, wheels and tired are back on the ground. I would like to set the ride height to the factory stock height, can someone tell me where and how much to measure for this. I would assume that I would deduct 2 inches from the measurement for the dropped spindles to obtain the stock ride height.

The lower arms are supposed to be parallel to the ground under standing load.

I am done with the job and created a new gallery with a few pics of the install. My overall impression is that Fatman needs a little more engineering on these spindles.

sdetweil, did you ever install the FatMan Volare drop spindles? How did your install go? Hope it is going better than mine, my install has multiple clearance issues.

I've bent the edge of the lower control arm lip with a small ball peen hammer per the Instructions. When the wheels are straight, 1/32" of clearance(weight on the suspension), with the wheels turned to the stops wither direction, they rubs. Hate beat on the lower control arms any more.

Another major issues is, I'm still struggling with the vertical spindle mounting plate & brake rotor clearance problem. The top of the vertical spindle mounting plate is rubbing on the rotor. The bottom of the plate has about a 1/32" clearance? Could this be an alignment issue that's causing my heartache?
No alignment yet, any feedback on setting the components close to spec?
Wanting to remove any alignment issues that might be causing my clearance issues.
CharlieLed has a great picture of his Volare install that is near the top of this post,(looks great too). The alignment bar(attached with two bolts) that sits just below and between the upper control arm; is the bar close to the correct orientation for a mock-up alignment?

Does anyone know the distance/clearance between the vertical spindle mounting plate and the brake rotor?
And while were on a distance/clearance topic, between the lower control arm and the brake rotor?
If it means anything, the calipers on mounted on the backside of the spindles.

Talked to Fatman multiple times. Had no idea why the spindle mounting plate was hitting the rotor.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

i did and it went great.. i used the spacer washers as documented.. had no clearance problems.. i also went with the bigger rotors from a 1976 Chrysler Cordoba, like these
drilled/slotted and coated.
i have the 87 lincoln 8.8 rear and found drilled/slotted and coated rotors there too.. so , no rust from now on.

truck drives completely differently.. much more stable, the squishy feeling is gone.

re-reading the topic, i note that my calipers are mounted up and back like before.. i have a project when it gets warm to clean and paint the calipers (pretty wheels and rotors, ugly calipers!)
