OD flashing is to inform you of a failure.
It will store a trouble code.
Some failure codes will cause what is called limp home mode.
This is the trans protecting itself from a total failure.
If you address the code issue it could be just a repair not
a complete rebuild. Ignore it and you will need a rebuild.
Clearing the fault code will only address the limp home mode and OD flashing.
It does not repair anything! It will allow you to drive in normal
mode until it detects a failure again.
