Looking a good cleaner!
Hi every one,
I'm the newbie and I was wondering if anyone could help me find the best cleaner to keep carbon build up off the EGR and Turbo in my 2005 Ford F250.
Preferbly a cleaner that will not require an oil change after using it.
It needs to be cleaned again and I don't have $370.00 to give my local dealer to clean it for me.

You can use carb cleaner for the egr valve. I'm sure the same for the turbo. Do you use fuel additive? Do you idle the truck alot? If you idle alot you should install the high idle switch. Here is a picture of my egr valve after letting it idle alot everyday for a few months (actually around 10,000 miles) using the high idle mod.

I try not to let it idle to long, just depends on how hot my turbo is.
The truck has a high idle worm up but no high idle mod.
Letting idle to run in the store, would that be considered too long?
