its probably been discussed a hundred times but im a newbee so ill ask it again. i would like to get an on the fly adjustable chip like the edge or TS or some thing for my 06 f250. Any recomendations or horor stories. Looking mainly for fuel economy, i tow 32' toyhauler not enough haha, and would like to walk on my buddies duramax when need be. And spedo recalibration would be a great feature for the 35s.

give that a read

You'll learn that adjustable chips are pointless on the 6.0. The tranny needs time to relearn (a couple hundred miles) before the new power is worth anything.\

Go with an SCT with custom tunes

I've got a horror story for you. every single truck i see in the shop that needs headgaskets done on it have chips. The 6.0L was never built to withstand overboost conditions. the programming in most of the chips never take this into account. most of them just force as much preformance into your powertrain as they can with no concern to you and what you have to pay for because of it. Its basics, the chip causes the VGT soliniod in your turbo to acctuate at longer and wider intervals causing more boost. don't get me wrong this works but the over boost literally lifts the heads off of the block causeing the gaskets to blow with no whitness marks what so ever. chips are made of big heavy engine modders. i would never recommend it in a million years. unless you want to pay me to fix it for you. -6.0L Ford Tech

well thats kinda a touchy subject. i've herd of people that upgrade injectors, heads, turbo, head studs, many things. this does have an upgrade in proformance but if you want to pull just a little more i'd go with the tow package ford comes with (rear end) maybe change out your gears in the rear end, or if your a big hauler change them in the tranny if possible. ive herd of tranny gears being changed out but i have never seen it in person so no garuntees on that one. basically focus on areas other then your motor if you dont want to blow it up because the most thing that people do is turbo upgrades and then that leads to head gaskets. if it were me id change the gears in the rear end.
