Capper

I am in the market for a box capper.
Not just a cover.

2002 Ranger with flare sides.

The only place I can think of right now is Custom Creations in Regina.

Hi Stuart, try ''Kijiji> cars & vehicles > parts, accessories''/ https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/815608-capper.html
Just change the cities from Saskatoon in the upper right hand corner.
Good luck, I`m sure you`ll find something there.

My fault, I was in a big hurry and you know how that always goes.......
It`s for your Ranger, right Stuart? I can keep an eye open, if you let me know the price range, colour and some other details, to see what comes up around here if you like.

Have you thought about making your own. I have seen some nice work and good designs by some of the people on here.

I had thought of making my own.

The big problem with getting the correct topper/capper is the width of my box.

Being a step side it is a bit narrower.

I can see that being a problem, I don't see many stepsides around. On the other hand, if it is narrower it might make it easier to make you own cover. I made my own, I riveted aluminum 3/4" angle to the edges of the box and just layed reinforced plywood across the box and painted it. It is not fancy but it serves the purpose.

When I said capper/topper I meant one even with the top of the cab.

Not a cover or lid.

I could see making one out of light wood, but then it would be just that, light. Best would be get a fiberglass one.

I never thought at first about the width, but now that ya mention that, I can see why that would be tough to get used.

Yes I checked out the local want adds and there was nothing, not even for a regular Ranger.
