67 Econoline Swap
Here is my Dilemma; I have a 67 Econoline Van with a 240ci six cyl engine. I also have an 81 Camaro with a 350. What I would like to do is Drop the 350 into the van, as well as switch as much other stuff over as i can. Just out of curiousty, based on experience.. what does everyone think is possible? I would like to switch the front brakes to the discs from the camaro, use the same exaust and rims. How big can i go on econoline without cutting into the fender wells? My camaro rims are 17inch in the front and 18inch in the back. I dont have a problem fabricating when its neccessary, as long as its not an insane amount. Due to corporate down sizing at work i'm either going to sell the camaro or van, & since i have never seen a van set up like this i think it would be well worth the time, maybe not, maybe I'm waisting my time. swap
quite a bit of work involved with a v 8 swap im not sure of the dimensions of the 350 block my 61econo pickup has a small block ford had to cut the floor and also make the doghouse bigger there are disc brake kits for these trucks but i dont think the camaro swap is bolt on. i have 15x10 in rims with 60 series tires on the rear with no clearance issues

Where are you located. You could shoe horn the 350 in there. I think I would sell the Camaro and use the money to buy a 289/302 or 351W and put in there. Is your van a Auto or 3 speed? I am currently working on my 62 5 window truck. I just put in a 351W and AOD. Already have the disc brake conversion for the front.
