Roll it off, starting fluid or block heater.

yup, what he said. ether is common for the old school tractors, just be sure to disconnect the glow plug first, and also make sure the fuel is not gelled up. also pull it around in gear for a faster spin on the motor, works good on weak battereis

block heater helps but wont solve it, be sure the fuel isnt gelled and hit it with some ether,
disconnect the glow plug, start cranking and while cranking have someone spray ether in it

If you could generally start it without the glow plug heater, then the block heater should do the trick. My IH 966 doesn't have any kind of preheat, but it was equipped with ether shot. I don't need the ether if I keep it plugged in for a while.

Put a tarp over it and put some electric heaters in it.
Charge the batterys.
Once you have it charged up and warmed up a little, give it a shot of ether and it should go, if all thats stopping it from going is the cold.

Just give it a good shot of ether if she still cranks over. If not, put the hot start on her for 30 minutes and then try to get it to pop.

If you don't want to open up the cooling system you could get a magnetic oil pan heater and wrap the engine with anything that will hold the heat.

Engine oil pan heaters, filter heaters & battery warmers. Designed for cars, diesel engines, more effective than block heaters, magnetic heaters. Suitable for Volkswagen vw beetle, Audi, Land Rover, Ford, Chrysler, GM,
