My worst road experience.
I was at firth lake in central BC.
Head to prince george, and keep going north, at about 130 kms past PG, turn right, and drive in about 30 kms.
The last km is really steep down to the lake.
Pulled in on a friday years ago.
Fishing was great, played in the boat and on the quads.
Had my diesel F350 with travel trailer in tow.
My pal was there with his travel trailer behind his chevy 1 ton diesel to.
saturday night it rained and rained, same for sunday.
I was stuck in place in 4x4, could not move 1 inch.
unhooked the trailer, and made it about 100 feet, got on the hill part of the road, spun out and slid backwards into the ditch.
My pal cannot move even unhooked from his trailer.
cut down the tree that has bent my rear bumper, but thankfully stopped my truck.
Hooked onto it with both quads and swung the front end around.
Get on the quads to ride out to the HWY and flag down help or a ride.
Quads both run out of gas maybe 2 kms from truck, push them off road, and walk back to trucks.
Fall down on the greasy mud about 50 times each.
We camped in the trailers for 2 days and finally help arrives, my buddies tracked us down, we went to a different lake at the last minute, than where we said we were going.
Now its rained for 4 days, and my pal crashes his truck coming down the hill to rescue us.
He told his wife at a pay phone thank god , where he was going next to look for us, when he stopped at windy point for lunch.
Next day search and rescue finds us all. hungry and wet, but really pretty fine.
hauled us out on quads to our quads, and they had spare gas.
We rode out to the HWY and they hauled our quads to PG for us.
My truck and trailer and my pals both sat up there for 11 more days, and we finally thought it had stopped raining long enough to dry out and be able to get out.
Still i barely pulled the trailer up the hill, but just made it.
I unhooked and chained my truck to my pals truck, and he hooked onto his trailer, and we got it out.
Then used my truck to pull out my pals smashed up truck, and finally got home to PG.
Its pretty in there, and fishing is great!
The road is hell if it rains though.
