Totally Tubular

My recently purchased '92 IDI has a real nice set of tubular headers running into a pair of 3' glass packs. I was just wondering if this was unusual. I talked to the 2nd owner yesterday and he said the original owner had them installed when it was a couple years old. This is my 3rd diesel truck, and i feel I have read a lot of material on diesels on the internet, but can't recall a single mention of headers ever on a diesel. It always seems to be about induction upgrades, and maybe larger dia. exhaust. They are holding up real well and i see no sign of leaks or gaps, so they are staying on. Sure does sound nice!

yes headers are a very good upgrade even for a diesel, do you have a pyrometer, do you want a little more power out of the truck??

Sounds like another set of Stan's Headers to me.

He is the only place that makes diesel headers and is located out in your corner of the country.

Yeps, either Stan's headers, or an all out custom job from one of those DIY kits for race cars and such.
