efi intake question

hi i have a 95 bronco with a 351w and i am building it to a 408 stroker i have some major parts like eagle crank, h beam rods, forged flat top pistons, comp cam, trick flow wedge race heads, all supper accel ignition, high flow high impediance injectors, and b&m twin 61mm throttle body. i am trying to make over 500 hp and 550 lbs torque. i was wondering how bad the stock intakes were do i need to spend 800 for a new intake or will i be okay porting and polishing it? also what kind of chip or ecm up grade will i need to run these massive injectors?

Oh man.. you can forget using anything that even looks remotely stock on that motor, you'll need something like a Twisted Wedge R Series with the big throttlebody, and get yourself a TweecerRT or Moates chip for tuning.

I`m using an Edelbrock that I ported and smoothed out,had to open the gaskets a little too,I called Comp Cams and they ground a custom roller cam for me.30lb injectors/BBK 255ltr intank pumps/Mass Air/Summit maf meter/ported TricFlows.I put this gadjit on the wiring harness for the throttle positioning sensor that alters the signal and It would smoke {the tire} when I floored it while going 60mph but it made it hog too much gas so I took it off

the moates.net chip will allow you to do your own programming. I use it and love it

From: Healdsburg ca,
good choice going 408! i'm going to do the same thing to my mustang. i would get the trickflow R intake with the 351 lower for you truck that way you can match your heads to your intake, and it will pull as high as you want in the rpm's.

Here's a low rez pic of the Edelbrock Performer and Victor 5.8 lowers, the Victor or equivalent is what's needed to get above 400hp, it's runners measure 2.0" x 1.2" which is considerably bigger than the Performer at 1.85" x 1.04". The upper portion is also capable of supporting a much larger throttlebody.

some AFR 205 heads would work well also. I imagine you are rebuilding that e4od to handle all that? in stock form it wont last very long at all.
