I am installing a Python 1400XP and need a little help. In the manual there is the H1/10 wire it is white/blue(-) remote start activation wire. Here is what the install manual says; "This input comes form the factory set to 2 activation pulses. This means that it is necessary to have 2 consecutive ground pulses on the white/blue wire for the remote start to activate or deactivate. The same holds true for the remote control activation when set to a two pulse setting it is necessary to press the "start" button twice for the remote start to activate or deactivate."
I have no idea where to hook this wire up to and apparently it runs the whole operation because every thing is hooked up and it doesn't even try to start the truck. The unlock unlock features work and you can get into the programming mode of the module so I know it's getting power.
Do I need to hook the nuetral safety switch wire and where is that one located??
Mike you do not need that wire. just cut it a few inches from the harness and tape up the end. It basically used for interfacing with other pices of electronics.
Oh and the reason it will not start for you is because you do not have the neautral safety wire grounded. You can either jsut ground it or wire it up the the little silver switch that is in the box so you can turn the RS funtions off is you bring it in to be serviced or something.
Wire cut and Neutral Safety Switch wire put right to ground.........VVVVRROOOM gag gag gag.....
It's all good. Thanks for the help!!!!!!
This is only the third Remote Start I've put in. The first two where over 10 years ago and took 2 days each, thanks to guys that put wiring diagrams on the internet this one took 2 hours last night and twenty minutes today......What a difference
Just returned from the Stereo place that installed my set up. They gave me all of their paperwork for this 1400xp system. Need to figure out this door lock feature and kill it. It shuts down all controls of the radio and windows once the key is turned off. When going to the turbo cool down mode, and truck shuts off, the radio, windows still have control. I've got some reading to do. It is a good set up so far.

Thats not normal. I wouldnt even know where to begin there. The RS Should have zero effect on the radio and window operation. I dont want to say that they didnt do it right but I will say your issues are not normal and is unlikely a setting that needs to be changed. Unless of course I have totally misunderstood what your saying.
Doug, you are absolutely correct. Started looking at wiring diagrams and unplugged one relay. Everything works as it should now. Still have tunes, and window control once key is in off position now. Just as if I did not have remote start or kill.
