I am possibly considering installing one in my 06 F250 but wanted to get others who have used it or are familiar with it's performance and/or operation.
The NewEngland winters are brutal with the amount of salt they lay down here.
I've have it on mine and I think it's doing what they say it should. mind it's hard to predict how much something should rust but my truck is over 8 years old and the underside of the cab and bed are remarkably clean. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I probably will be putting one on my 65 442 this summer for protection over the winter storage.
Being electrical in nature, it's probably only stopping electrolysis. Electrolysis can cause some rust/corrosion issues. Which will help some with the salting, but only so much. You may still need to wash and coat the underside regularly for full protection.
Electrolysis can also remove rust, Tech Tips -- Electrolytic Rust Removal but you probably don't get a vat big enough to fit your truck or the pounds of lye to do the whole job.
My truck shows no signs of any major rust for a 9 year old truck driven in the fine state of Unemployment (MI). We know how to use salt, now I'm not saying it's a god send but if you like to work on your truck without messing with undercoating getting stuck to yourself and your clothes I'd give it a try. My truck is not undercoated nor is it rusted to heck, my wheelwells are still in pristine condition and I just now getting a little rust around the door area seams, I will take care of that over the summer.
