Front end identification???

i pulled a front axle out of a 74 f250. the numbers 44 and 6CF are stamped into the differiental. The C almost looks like a 0. Is this a D44 or a D60? thanks in advance

Sounds like a closed knuckle, which isn't worth using, can you see the steering u joint? or just a ball?

measure the hub. 44 is under 3" a 60 is just over 3"(iirc)

The hub on my dana 44 in my 75 f250 measures over 4 1/2 inches across

44 6CF is open knuckle 44 with discs maybe .Like mine.
