87 ford 351 windser

ok my ford is still stalls or dies after running good then low rpm slow moving like week spark i check the coil and it read 1.3 ohms i think it should be 0.3 to 1.0 so is 1.3 to high and it kinda sounds like its missing i checkd the ohms on the spark plug wires and the book says 8.9 ohms and i cant even get a reading on my guage the reading jups all around any suggestions i think its arching but i dont see sparks

Checking ohms is a waste of time in my experience, if you can pull the coil wire loose and the coil will throw a spark 1/2" then it is good enough for a mildly tuned engine. I like to then pull each plug wire and see how far it can throw a spark. Its easier to find bad wires and such this way

Have your ignition modual checked.I had a 91 tempo and I know its not a truck but it the only vehicle I had that did what is very close to what your describin and the problem with my car was the ignition modual inside my distributor.I hope this info helps.

my ignition modual is on the out side of the distrbiter same thing though right

You might want to try the other forum, since you have a 87, though there probably isn't much difference in your truck compared to the earlier models in here.
