Hey Dan just the guy I need to ask. My new wheels are 5.39 they are gear alloy 711mb's when I bought them they where advertised as fitting 99 to 07 of course the 07 should have told me to check first but that is neither here nor there but they only make them in 5.39 they say 99 to 07 because of the 8 on 170. To my question should I be thinking sell them(I love the look so would hate to)and getting something else or just lose a little steering you know I am planning 325/60/18r tires so what do you think what would you do spacers are out I don't like running them? I am leaning toward just dealing with the lose of steer but how much lose would be the thing.

Oh and sorry about the

You'll loose some as you approach full lock. Probably not a ton, but some.....enough to notice.

You can drill and tap your steering stops to limit your steering prior to the tire catching the leaf pack.

Personally, I'd go with a different wheel if you don't want to run spacers.

Thanks Dan..I am going to have to think about what I really want to do. I may try running them as I would have to sell them then buy another set well that and shipping would cost a small fortune if I could not sell them locally. I tried to rep you but the rep police say I have to spread them around........

I think I'll go with ProComp Xtreme ATs in a 37x12.50 next, the BFGs price is just too inflated.

I don't know where you purchased your wheels but you can get that wheel in a 18x10 with -25mm offset, which provides 4.50" of back space. Maybe you can trade them where you made the purchase...

Yep a few companies work in that fashion....9" wides are 5-5.5" back space and the 10" wides are 4.5".
BMF is the same way.

For an '06 you want the 5.71" version, and I assume you meant 305 width on those tires and not 205.

Yep, 5.71" for a 05+ truck.

4.53" will stick out close to 1.5" further than stock wheels.

Actually the 711mb is only offered in 18x9 the 712mb is offered in 18x9 and 18x10 but they don't look the same to totally different wheels I checked with the distributor of Gear Alloy wheels when I found out about the backspacing. I think this weekend I will take one down to my shop at work and set one on and see what kind of clearance issues I will have if not bad I will run them and go from there.
