You build automobiles, lots of automobiles. You sell automobiles, not so many automobiles. This begs the question; Where do you put all of those autos. Well if you are Nissan of the UK and you have a handy piece of land you park them there. Nissan test track Uinted Kingdom.

imho, It is really not that many cars beings stored there.
I worked at a Ford dealer that sold 800 new cars/trucks a month. A 90 day supply for them would be 2400 cars, there are only about 1,000 cars visible in the outside track. One big dealership could sell all the cars visible in 90 days, easy.
Like said above..that seems like alot of cars..till you do the math and find that thats about a 3 day supply of vehicles nationwide....those cars (or trucks) aren't all going to your town..or you county....or your state....those are national and in some cases worldwide supply yards....and its not that rare...my truck in 07 sat in one of those lots for 6 days waiting for shipment....
You do have to wonder that if this is only a few days supply then they must have had a place to keep them before. Now they have to use a very expensive test track for a parking lot. I don't think this is just a couple of days product.

Maybe not, in a slow economy, they might use a track they own instead of a leased or rented lot in a middle of a urban area or rail storage. I really do not think it is a lot of cars for an OEM of Nissan's size.
I think I moved more cars that that to plow the dealership car lot in winter
