THE BOSS IS BACK

Can anyone confirm is this is really there? It should be stamped in the valley.

There's too much junk to see anything. I wonder if that's 5.0 thing only?

I remember some press release cutaway photos they did on the 6.2 and 6.7 when they were release. I'll see if I can find them, might be able to see something on there..

I did, there's too much crap on top of the motor!

Sometimes I miss the old 351 I had in my '78 Bronco. So easy to work on...

Matt,
I agree. I had 1978 F150 300 6cyl. On a rainy day you could almost crawl on top the motor and close the hood. Of course that's when I was a little smaller.

Ha Ha, same with my 68 GMC. It had a 250 straight six and I could sit on the inner fender in the shade and do the plugs and other things comfortably.

This 6.2 isn't as bad as some though. It will be fun when the time comes to tackle the plugs.

Yup, all 16 of 'em...

I used to be able to sit on the fender of my Bronco and work on the truck right there. The new truck, forget it, no where for my legs!

Yeah I had a good laugh when I found the bottom set through the wheel well.

That's pretty awesome though more than likely only appreciated when your having enough trouble that you have to tear it down...

This is because the 'boss' aka 6.2 is very very similar to the 360fe. Think of it as a modern version of the fe engines. They made a 7.0 liter version of this engine aka 427 and made identical power to the 427 sohc motor of old.
