Well lads, my truck started vibrating but the weird thing it only does it from 1800-2200 RPM. It does it both accelerating and cruising, and there is no check engine light, does that mean that there are no codes being put out? Im pretty sure its the engine and not the rest of the drive train, because I put it in neutral while not moving and revved it to the specific RPM (2000) and it did it. The shakes are not really violent but its noticeable. Anyone got any suggestions as were to start? Truck specs are in my sig and any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
It could also be bad U joints. I know on my Jeep Cherokee(totally different vehicle, I know) I had a bad cardan joint in my front driveshaft and it was causing the vehicle to do some funky things.
Have ya had a lot of snow up there, just asking I am no super mechanic by any means but my truck had some of those symptoms no codes tell it got bad but had water under the cops ended up having water clear to the brim of the plug hole in 3 of the 8 and didnt thow codes right away well for over week actually.
Check your cops. I had the same vibrations you speak of at the same rpm range. Only difference is that mine pulled a code and the service engine soon light came on. Check the cops by warming up the truck and once it's warm pull the wire going to it. The ones that change the tone/rpm of the engine when you pull the wire are good the ones that don't are bad. This is the way I did it and it worked fine for me, I've read posts on here that don't suggest doing that however but that's what I did. Hope this helps.
I pulled a few COP and they were bone dry, I guess I'll just have to wait until the truck throws a code, I mean if its going, its gonna go (I hope) then I just replace it. In the mean time its not a horrible vibration. Thanks for the help.
On this forum and several buddies whom I ice fish all pretty much had the same two in common(4,8) not sure which ones you pulled on mine 1-3 were bone dry, 4, 7, 8 all had water six and five were good if that tells you anything sorry I couldnt help.
Other options ...
frozen fan clutch
air pocket -tire egg-
I'd lean to drivetrain if it only happens while moving
If vibe happens at same rpm while parked could be serious

Yeah I only pulled a few up front 1,2,3, I think. I guess I'll stop being so lazy, grab a beer, and go pull the back ones. Thanks for the suggestion.
