went to put my truck into 4 wheel drive. Push the button. All was well, the light went on next to the button and on the dash. After ten minutes, the lights went off.if you tap the button the light will flicker.I replaced the transfer motor last year. could the switch be bad? I hear a clicking under the dash.
The clicking is probably a relay. I know the wiring to the motor on the transfer case is a common failure point. If you don't hear the case engaging when you push the button, I'd start down there.
any help out there? Go to engage the 4 wheel drive, only hear a clicking on passenger side. checked the module the red LED light stays on. theres no dash light for 4x4. Have no low range either. Replaced the motor last year. Any ideas?
There is a reset button on the module, a white one if I remember right that you press and it will reset. It usually Flashes when it has a fault in the system. If it doesnt then you may have to check the transfer case motor and wiring to make sure a broken wire or corrosion hasnt happened to the wiring and or harness.
You can go to broncograveyard.com and get the dash switch as well.
